Personal Lines Assistant Underwriter

Location: Maitland, FL
Job Summary:
- Provide quotations for new business, renewals and endorsements, rate as necessary.
- Process new business, renewals and endorsements.
- Process, invoice and send all new business policies, renewals, endorsements and final audits in accordance with agency procedures.
- Handle incoming calls and correspondence from agents and company personnel.
- Maintain and develop strong agent relationships.
- Maintain and develop strong company relationships with underwriting personnel.
- Assist Production Underwriter in servicing agent accounts.
- Create and maintain physical and electronic records for all transactions.
- Pursue additional education and credentials for professional and personal development.
- Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by production lines team leader and agency management.
Required Competencies:
- High school diploma required, some college preferred.
- Above average mathematical skills and ability to rate insurance policies.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft products and have good computer skills.
- Must hold the required and appropriate insurance agent license(s).
- Ability to understand and analyze insurance coverage’s, forms and policies.
* 440 License, minimum 2 years experience in servicing all lines of personal lines insurance *
Must be detailed, organized and work with little supervision.
Salary Range: Competitive salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications
